What is XtraSpace?

XtraSpace (xtraspace.in) is an Indian marketplace for renting spare space by the hour. Hosts list idle dance studios, offices, halls, classrooms, cafés and rooftops for free. Guests see the rate upfront, send a booking request or offer their own price, and the host approves every booking. There is no lease, broker or deposit.

Is XtraSpace the same as the XtraSpace self-storage company?

No. XtraSpace is not related to the self-storage companies called XtraSpace or Xtra Space in South Africa and the United Kingdom. XtraSpace at xtraspace.in is an Indian marketplace for booking studios, offices, halls and other spaces by the hour.

How do I book a space on XtraSpace?

Sign in with Google, open Browse spaces, and filter by city, category, date and number of guests. Pick a space, check its availability, and send a booking request for the hours you need. The host reviews the request and approves or declines it; nothing is confirmed until they approve.

Can I negotiate the price?

Yes. When you send a request you can offer your own price, and the host can accept it or reply with a counter-offer. A price only becomes the agreed price when the host accepts. Listings marked "Price on request" expect you to make an offer.

Does XtraSpace charge a booking fee?

No. The rate shown on a listing is the host's own rate, and XtraSpace does not add a booking fee on top of it. Listing a space is also free.

Do I need to sign a lease or pay a deposit?

No. XtraSpace is built for hourly, daily, weekly and monthly bookings, so there is no lease, no broker and no deposit. You book the hours you need and the host confirms them.

How quickly does a host respond to a booking request?

Hosts are asked to respond to booking requests and messages within 24 hours, and the request is visible in your dashboard while you wait. You can message the host from the booking if you have questions.

What happens when I arrive at the space?

Once the host approves your booking, the booking shows a check-in code. Give the code to the host when you arrive; it confirms the right guest has arrived for the booked time.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, from your bookings dashboard. Any refund is settled between you and the host under the host's cancellation policy, as set out in the XtraSpace Terms of Service.

How do I list my space on XtraSpace?

Sign in with Google and choose List your space. Add photos, a description, the amenities, your hourly or daily rate and the hours the space is free, then publish. Listing is free, you set your own price, and you approve every booking request yourself.

What kinds of spaces can I rent?

Dance and yoga studios, music and photo studios, offices and coworking desks, meeting rooms, classrooms in schools and colleges, society halls, cafés and restaurants, clinics, rooftops and gardens. Each host decides what their space may be used for.

Which cities does XtraSpace work in?

Anywhere in India: a host can list a space in any city, and every listing shows its locality on a map. The Cities page lists the city pages, with Mumbai and Bengaluru among the first to have live listings.

Who is responsible for the space during a booking?

The host is responsible for the space, its safety and its permits, and the guest is responsible for using it respectfully and for any damage during the booking. XtraSpace is the platform that connects them; it does not own or manage any listed space.

Can I leave a review?

Yes, after a booking. Only a guest who has booked a space can review it, so every rating on XtraSpace comes from a real booking.
